Quelques petits détails sur mon weekend à New York :)
Ca fait deja un petit moment que je voulais les ajouter mais je n'avais pas encore eu le temps :) C'est fait :)
Donc commençont par le commencement :) Le soir de notre (David et moi) arrivée, on est allé direction City Hall afin de remonter Broadway jusqu'à Time Square. Retour à l'auberge de jeunesse, il est 2 heure du matin.
Le lendemain (samedi), petit déjeuner gratuit à l'auberge donc on ne va s'en priver. J'en profite pour parler avec plusieurs personnes (des belges...) et l'on rencontre Solenne (une francaise en stage a Washington) et Carolin (une allemande, de washington également). N'ayant pas du tout organisé notre voyage, nous décidons de les suivre :)
Premier contact avec New York de jour, le sud de Central Park. Très beau et très sympa. Contraste saisissant entre la verdure de Central Park et les buildings de Manhattan. On continue et on descend la 5eme avenue. Beaucoup de gens et beaucoup plus vivant que Broadway la veille. Direction Top of the Rock, la terasse du Rockfeller Center. Une vue impressionnante sur Central Park et de l'autre côté sur l'Empire State Building ici au centre. On arrive maintenant à Time Square, de jour cela n'est pas aussi impressionnant que de nuit mais contre on peut aller s'amuser dans les magasins aux alentours: Toys'r'us et M&M's. Prochain arrêt, Grand Central. Ca ne ressemble pas aux gares françaises, très peu d'agitation dans le Hall. Nous traversons maintenant la rivière grâce au téléphérique afin de nous rendre sur Roosewelt Island et observer Manhattan d'un autre point de vue. Nous retournons sur Manhattan afin de nous rendre à Union Square et son horloge un peu bizarre :), Washington Square et ses beaux quartiers, en passant par la case écureuil pour finalement aller passer la soirée dans Greenwich Village.

Some details about my trip to NYC. That's a long time I would add them but I didn't find any time. Now, It's done :)
So, the first evening we arrived in NYC, we decided to go out and walk on Broadway until Time Square.So we went out from the subway close to the City Hall, and we walked on broadway (more than 1 hour, yeah, Manhattan is quite a big island...) until that we arrived to Time Square. Let's back to the youth hostel, it's almost 2 o'clock :)
Saturday, free breakfast at the youth hostel and let's go for a long long long long long walk :) and meeting with two girls (Solenne (French) and Caroline (German)) who come from Washington to visit NYC this weekend too. Let's follow them :)
First contact with NYC by day :) south of Central Park. Discovery of a new dimension :) Let's continue on the fifth avenue. We took a ticket and let's climb at the Top of the Rock. Great sightseeing of Central Park and from the other side on the Empire State Building here in the center. We are now arriving toTime Square, which is not so "lightly" than during the night. But the good point is we can go and have fun in the shops: Toys'r'us et M&M's. Next Stop Grand Central. It's not like a french station, no one's running in the Hall, everything quiet. Let's cross the river with a téléphéric to go to Roosewelt Island and admire Manhattan from another point of view. Then we went back to Manhattan to go to Union Square and its strange clock :), Washington Square and itsnice streets, passing by the squirrels and finally to spend the evning in a pub in GreenWich Village.
